“Innovation for your Business – Getting Ready to Submit for a SBIR/STTR” – Panel Discussion

January 20 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

No Fee
Has your business been considering submitting a proposal for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant or contract? Have you been wondering how they differ from a regular contract or grant? What does it REALLY take to win one and what does it REALLY take to manage one? This is the opportunity to meet a panel of experts who can walk you through the processes and tips associated with responding to an SBIR solicitation; winning an SBIR award and then performing it. Topics to be covered include the Program Overview including the history of and the agencies that award SBIR/STTRs; Proposal Drafting including pricing, a commercialization plan and technical and business assistance funds; Administration of your SBIR award including data rights and patents, and subcontracting rules; and Follow-on processes including Phase II and Phase III commercialization. The panel of experts includes Karri Palmetier of Palmetier Law, Michael Anderson of ReliAscent, Peter Ford of Piliero Mazza, Ed Kase of EKase Consulting and Brad Cheetham of Advanced Space, who has successfully navigated this world of SBIRs.

For individuals who were interested in responding to upcoming SBIR opportunities or will be responding as a result of this panel discussion, here are some key dates to keep in mind for agency SBIR announcements.
